The Reeths-Puffer hockey team’s three-game winning streak came to an end with a 5-1 loss to Portage on Thursday night.

Portage took control of the game early, scoring three goals in the first seven minutes.

R-P responded early in the second period with a goal from Tyler Tindall, assisted by Connor Stawski and Isaiah Winters, but Portage came back with two more goals and led 5-1 heading into the third.

There was no scoring in the third period. Rocket goalies Tanner Bonjernoor and Isaiah Van Noord shared time in net.

Reeths-Puffer is now 3-3 on the season.
