The suddenly hot Reeths-Puffer hockey team ripped off its third straight victory on Saturday, downing Holland West Ottawa 5-2.

Jaxon Stone had two goals and an assist for the Rockets while Isaiah Winters had one goal and one assist. 

Goalie Isaiah Van Noord got the win, stopping 41 of 43 shots. He was particularly hot in the second period, keeping West Ottawa scoreless when the Rockets were outshot 21-4.

All but one goal was scored in a wild first period.

R-P pulled ahead for good with two early power play goals from Stone (assisted by Winters) and Eli Cuti (assisted by Stone and Winters).

West Ottawa pulled within a goal, then Ricky Wiggins scored off a feed from Mason Cregg to put the Rockets ahead 3-1.

West Ottawa scored to pull within one goal again before Stone redirected a Jake Lee shot into the net,and R-P led 4-2 after one period.

Lee scored the last goal of the game in the second period on the power play, with assists from Tyler Tindall and Connor Stawski.

R-P is now 3-2 on the season and will face Portage on the road on Thursday.
